Whoa Nellie, Don't blow away!!

Wow did we ever have high winds last night. It sound almost like Hurrican Isabel. I thought it was going to do some real damage. Around 2.30 am we lost power, which means no heat. BRRRRR The power finally came back on around 9 am. Even the school were closed out here, but we didn't know that until Tony and Gigi came home. We got her up and ready for school. (I need to get a battery power radio.)I guess some of the school didn't have power either or it was way to windy for school buses to be driving around with precious cargo. Here's the link, 20,000 people were with out power. Power Outage .

Before we went to bed last night, I had to go out and pick up the trash can and put the trash back in it. The wind just knocked it over. Just imagine 2 am I'm out by the curb picking up trash. It was not one of my better moments.

Tomorrow I'm actually going out of the house and meeting a couple a new people. I found a local scrap group, I'm meeting a couple of them in the morning for a couple hour crop. I'm taking Lexi with me because kids are welcomed. How sweet is that? I finally going out of my comfort zone to meet new people. This is something I normally don't do, but I'm going to give Ohio a chance. It might be nice to meet people that aren't related to my hubby. :) I will update you later on how well it went. I'm nervous but that's who I am.

Here's some new LOs. I hope you like them! I scrap all over the weekend. I scrap whatever I want when ever I want. I definately don't follow a timeline. I pretty much let Mr Mojo tell me what to scrap. :O)

This LO is of my BFF, I used the tranparency she sent me. She always sends me such great stuff. I don't know what I would do with out her. :) I miss you girlie!

Here's the RAK I won from the AMR Stacey definately out did her self with it. I can't wait to play with my new little album.

Well I better run! I hope you all have a great night!

I've been tagged!!

I've been tagged 3 times in the last week or so, wow I must moving up in the world! I have 2 different tags to answer. So here we go :)

Here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).
3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details).

This one should be pretty easy :) My Middle name is Ann!

A-a horrible cook, my daughters rather thier daddy cook. :)
N-Nice, I try to be nice at all times :)
N- New, I'm still new at this whole blog/scrap MB thing. Even though I'm new I really enjoy talking to people all over the country.

Here's the other tag:
7 random facts about me!

1. I have a circle birthmark on my left ankle.
2. I had mostly guy friends growing up. These guys are still in my life, they are basically my brothers one is definately my BFF for life. (I want to see him with a nice girl that will appreciate him....long story here)

Late to bed!

Every night I seem to get to bed around 1 or 2 am. I guess I'm what you would call a night owl. Each morning I get up early to get Gigi ready for school. The days I sleep in are Sat and Sun just because Gigi doesn't have school. :) Most times I get really productive at night. I guess once the girls are in bed. I can play until the cows come home or until Tony gets home. :) Last night I didn't get to play as much because drama found one of my friends yesterday and it wasn't pretty. One the bright side, he will move on and meet women who will love and appreciate him.

Last night I did a digi LO for Kelli's Challenge. I finished it around 2 am. It was quite fun to do, except in my tiredness I gave it the wrong title. Oh well! I'm also using it for today's LOAD. Here's the link to the challenge: Collective Challenge it's on the AMR.

I'm also finished another christmas LO. It's the girls making and eating cookies.

I also finished my Canvas the other night. It's my "create life" canvas, I've never done before but I think I will continue making them. It was really fun to do. I love the color red it's such a strong/confident color. The letter's were done on the Cricut, I used Printing Press for "create" and George for "life". All the flowers are rub-ons. I might enter it in the CKMB mantra contest. I haven't decided yet though. :) As of right now it's hanging in my dining room/scrap space.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday! Thanks for looking at everything!

Sundays!

I've always loved Sundays! To me it's the best day of the week, we get to sleep in and then play all day. I finished up my school stuff for this week. I'm loving my HTML class, I'm also taking a Data Base Management class too. Today for the rest of the day me and the girls will get to hang out and play. We won't be going anywhere. Who wants to go out when it's so cold. My Weather

Yesterday we did get scrappy. I scrapped yesterday LOAD, I think it turned out fairly well. My picture matting was created by my printer running out of ink. I printed a set of pictures and the ink ran out. So after I replaced the ink cartridge I reprinted. I didn't want to waste that picture sooo. BOOM there's my photo mat. I liked how it turned.

I also did a couple other LOs too. Bekah's Flowers of Ireland LO inspired this one. She used the mosaic effect. I fell in love with her's and I've wanted to try it ever since. So, tried it last night. These were all pictures that were taken in my mother's backyard.

The last LO is of Gigi on Mix Match Day. Friday she got to wear all kinds of Mix Match items to school. She looked soo cute. I used DCWV papers to get a Mix Match pattern. I also use different chipboard to create the title.

The girls even got creative yesterday too. I gave them each a canvas to paint. They got to paint whatever they wanted on it. Their paintings reflect who they are right now. I adore their work, I've already have them on the wall. I will treasure them forever!
This is Gigi's she my 6 yr old.
This is Lexi's she my 4 yr old.
I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!
Oh wish me luck in today's football game. I wanna stay near the top! I'm rank 39th in the ESPN's GridIron Challenge.
Bye for Now!

It's finished!!

I finally finished my acrylic album tonight. I think it turned out cute but, you all let me know what you think. They are a pain in the hiney to take pictures of. Sorry about the glare on them. All the pictures are of my girls when they were babies. They have grown a little bit since then. I used alot of rub-ons and flower embellies. I can't wait to try another one! Thanks for looking!

Have a great day!

More pages

I've started my new acrylic album last week. Here are the pages I've completed. It's been a fun process for my first album. I think I will do more of these in the future. I just have to order some more albums. Oh, Bekah that vellum adhesive it fabulous!!!

Here's pages 2-5, these are of my babies.

I also did another Halloween page yesterday. Just to let you know I used black cat ribbon and black cats didn't start running though my house. So my LOs aren't coming to life. LOL
Gigi told me if cats started running through the house, she was leaving. LMAO!!
That's all for today!

It's Alive!!

We had a fun day! The girls and I went shopping and got a few things for different projects I'm working on. Plus, Gigi had to have rub ons. My little girls take after their Momma. *glowing* While at Joann's today I found, $1.00 AL journaling stamps. I was so excited because I have been wanting them for awhile. I got a set for Bekah too!! Also, during our shopping trip we stopped at Big Lots and found the coolest kit. It is a Heidi Grace/ Fiskars kit starter scrapbook kit. I got one for each of my girls. Inside it contained deco scissors, a heart hole punch, pen, pattern paper, cardstock, rub ons, stickers and a nice carrying case. All this was for $5.oo. My daughters had their own scrapbook frenzy when they got home. I'm thinking I might have to go get me one now. I love the paper and the case. LOL
Also, today I got a care package from my Best Bud! She sent me some transparencies, overlay, vellum and cute girly stickers. I can't wait to play with all my new stuff. I probably will tonight once I get off the computer.
I did do one layout so far today, which leads to a funny story. This afternoon I did a halloween layout from 2006. On it I used bat ribbons. It's pretty cute. About an hour after I finished the layout, Gigi and Lexi started screaming because there was a bird in the house. I looked up at it and it was a bat flying around my living room. It scared the poo out of us. I called Tony to tell him to come home b/c there was a bat somewhere in the house and he's like a what. So he gets home from work and immediately started searching for the bat. He didn't see it, so about 5 minutes later here comes the bat. Tony chases it upstairs and catches it in the girl's room. Meanwhile Lexi kept telling me she had to go protect her Daddy, because she's Daddy's girl.
He trapped it in one of my cooking pots and brought it downstairs. Now, Lexi is in LOVE with the bat, whom she named "flappy". Tony and Lexi took flappy outside to set him free so he can be with his bat family. All night long Lexi has told me how much she misses "flappy". She wanted him to live in her doll house. Can't you all see me with a pet bat???? (I don't think so)
I told Tony the weird thing was I just finished that halloween layout, he replies in a smart ass way..."Honey your layout was so life like it came ALIVE" All I could do was laugh. There is never a dull moment here!!
Have a scrappy Saturday and Sunday!

Rain Rain Rain!!!

When I moved here someone told me the sun doesn't shine in this part of Ohio. I really thought they were joking. They weren't and the sun barely comes out of the clouds. Now it's raining. This type of weather is quite draining but on the bright side it keeps me in the house. I can sit in my dining room and listen to raindrops hitting the window and the sound of the cars driving through it on the busy street. When the weather gets like this I want to do one of two things. The first is read, I would pull out good ole' Harry Potter and just read all night. The second is scrap. Tonight I did the latter.

Last night I started a new project: an acrylic album. I did the title page, Bekah send me stickers in a care packages and they were prefect for the title. I'm going to fill the album with pictures of the girls as newborns. Now I just have to scan all these pictures. I didn't get my digital camera until after Lexi was born. I will keep posting new pages as I do them.
Tonight I did a new layout. These are pictures of Lexi, they were taken in August 2007. I absolutely adore these pictures. I captured her in a moment of sadness and tears. I hate to see her sad but these pictures just turn out beautifully. I did this layout without a title. I felt like a title would pull away from the pictures. I also did some hidden journaling. I really think the pictures speak for themselves.
I hope everyone has a great night and a wonderful Friday!

LOAD

Not much as happen yet this week, other than Ohio State losing. Monday night we made a victory cookie, but it didn't work. Oh well my husband will survive, there is always next year. Now it's all about NCAA basketball. I have 2 words for you all.....GO DUKE!!! I'm an ACC girl; my hubby is all Big Ten.

I've been scrapping for the load. Here's a couple LO from the past couple days. This whole LOAD thing has been great. I've been using my stash and I haven't had the urge to go shopping. Yey me!!! I've used vellum and transparencies I've just have had a blast scrapping this month. I know I will finish all 31 of them.
Well I better get back to reading school stuff. That's all for now!

I kicked some serious hiney yesterday!!!

Yep, That right!!! I won the first week of the playoff challenge on ESPN. I scored 111pts, my husband scored 83pts and my BIL scored 80pts. I won and I have a decent lead. I'm sooo excited. I guess he'll take me serious now. I'm not too competitive. MUAHAHAHA (my evviilll laugh)!!!

I did a couple LO yesterday. It was the last day of the CKMB crop. Plus I'm doing LOs for the LOAD.

I used tranparencies on the Bag Girls. It was the first time I used tranparencies I made one design on PSE5 and used a flourish stamp for the other. I will definately continue to play with this technique, I love how it looks on the paper.
I love the pictures in this one. My daughters wanted purses like Mommy. So they got little Vera Bradleys. The day we bought them, they had to go to the Girlie store (aka claries) to get accessories for it. They picked out hairbrushes, lip gloss cell phones, and of course jewerly. They will tell you they are "Fabulous Girls". The pictures were taken in summer of 2006.
The Daddy's helper was from this Christmas. I laugh everytime I think of the mail box. Tony was responsible for on present. So he goes and buys his parents a mailbox. This is the only present he wrapped as well. BTW all this was done on Christmas Eve. LOL!!!
Well that's all for now. I started classes today. I'm working on my Web Design degree. I'm taking 2 courses: Database Management and Web developement. Oh for all you college people, parent of college students,or soon to be parent of college student get your text book on eBay. I saved over $100 today.
Have a great and fabulous Monday!!!

Playoffs started

It's Sunday!! I've been scrapping all weekend. I've done 9 layouts in 3 days plus a card. Whew!! My mojo is getting tired. Here's todays entry for the LOAD. Yes, I scrapped a pencil. I glue pencils to my Layout! I figured everything that's not glue down is open game to us scrappers.

It's sunday so we are back to our normal schedule since the holidays are over. We make muffins every Sunday morning. The girls love mixing the batter. It always good to have traditions even if they are weekly ones.
Now the NFL playoff are in full force. I have a fantasy team on ESPN.com This is something Tony and I do every year, he always wins but this year I won the regular season. Yey me!!! Now we are playing the Playoff's verison, but now we have a new player. My Brother in Law is playing with us. He is surprised I play but hopefully he'll be more surprised when I kick his hiney this week. Wish me luck!!!!
Well that's all for now!

It's Saturday!!!!

I've been scrapping since last night whoo hoo!! I'm finally caught up on my LOAD. The load is part of the new frenzy. http://www.bigpicturescrapbooking.com/ It's a class about doing a LayOutADay. It's a relief since it's only the 5th day of January. Not that I'm stressing but it's a goal. I'm going to do 31 layouts or projects in 31 days. Plus this will cut down on my stash.

Last night another crop open on the CKMB. http://http//www.creatingkeepsakes.com/mb/index.php It's croppin in the New Year. I've done 2 challenges so far, plus I did my first 2 pg layout. For some odd reason 2 pg LO scare me, I don't know if it's too much space or making the pages co-exist. Anyway..I'm please with how these turned out.

My daughters are even getting into the challenges. Gigi and Lexi did the 3 heart challenge. Here's their project. They made valentines card for Bekah (I hope they make it in your box..because in a few minutes they will be someone elses...LOL ) Mine is beside theirs. I heat embossed hearts on it. Plus I used felt hearts as well.

I was going to post a challenge but there are 8, already. I don't want to add to the stress so I will wait for the next one. I do have a pretty cool rak for it though. I will just have to hold on to them for the next one.

Well, I've got scrapping to do. Tony just left for work so we have the whole afternoon and night to scrap and play.
Sorry for all pictures :)

Cute picture of my life!

I want to show you what it's like being me. This is why I can't get much done sometimes. I love being a mom, they make life sooo much fun!!! How can I do dishes, laundry or cleaning when I have those little faces looking at me. Plus , I'm not strong enough to move them around. I can't wait to scrap this picture.
Have a scrappy day!

A new year, a new happiness!

As 2007 left our presences, 2008 emerged. I'm determined this will be a great, fantabulous year. I believe this year has good things to come. Last year was not all bad, there were good moments. I personally prefer them over the bad ones.

GOOD MOMENTS

  • I've made a life long friend in Rebekah, we are (to use her words) soul mates. She been there for me and she understands. We have practically everything in common.

  • I've moved to Ohio. This move has lighten the stress in my life. There is no way to describe how it feels to have that 100 lb weight off my chest.

  • Tony working for the Olive Garden. Since he's switched companies he's no where near as stressed. Also he has balance in his life. He's home more and he gets to spend more time with the family.

  • My girls, they are the best. They are growing so fast and they are full of life. They have a light that can't be matched. I feel so lucky to have such wonder girls.

Overall, I'm proud to have such wonderful people in my life.

Since I'm only looking forward this year, I've choosen this years word(s) to be: Everlasting Happiness.

Throughout the year at random times I will post pictures that inspire me and my everlasting happiness.

This picture is a castle from England. The reason I chose this image is to remind me of my goal to travel to England with in the next couple years. Also it's just beautiful and it makes me smile.

Have a great year!!

Elizabeth
