Rainbow Challenge

Wow...this is the first challenge I've done in a long long time.  I miss doing them but time doesn't allow for too much scrappy challenge fun. Plus there aren't as many sites anymore.

But here's a card for a rainbow challenge. It's for the Sugar and Spice Challenge Blog I used rainbow color scheme as my inspiration for it.  I also got a chance to use my new lawn fawn stamps and dies. I (heart) lawn fawn.  If you have any questions please ask.  I will try to update this more often. I'm making it a new goal.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!

Well after a busy weekend of sleepovers and a family party.  We decided to stay home and relax today.   So, I decided to scrap a little.  I got 2 layouts done and I'm posting one here and maybe I'll post the other one later.  Basic Grey posted a new sketch on their blog.  Here, go check it out.  I used my new BG What's up papers and their sticker sheet.  I've been looking for a reason to use those papers and their sketch was a perfect reason to cut them up.

It's a cute picture of my Lexi after last years dance recital.  She's so stinking cute...it kills me!

Thanks for checking us out! Til Next time.
Love ya!

Love Thursdays!!

Thursdays are my favorite day of the week, because I'm off.   Today I got to volunteer at Lexi's school for at Outdoor Day!  It was an experience.  I helped man the balloon relay and the scoop toss.   I do to say the scoop toss is quite boring..but the kids loved the balloon relay.  I don't know how many time I had to say no today.  "no, you can't throw the balloon at me." "no, you can't keep the balloon" "no, you can not throw it at your teacher."

Once I came home, cooled off, relaxed, ate dinner I finally got to to play with paper.  It's not my usually style but it's all circles.  It's Gigi and her Bestie at the roller rink.   They are "2peas in a pod"

thanks for stopping by!!

still feeling the mojo!

I finally got to scrap some of Gigi's birthday pictures.  She had a lovely Twilight themed party.  It was crazy and fun.  When Gigi and her friends get together and they are nuts.  They are so nutty..it makes your head spin.

I used the sketch from Got Sketch?  I always love a good sketch to get the juices flowing.  This one kind of fell in place. I even got to use a lot of my new supplies. <3

Here's is a new picture of Gigi.  I did our dance pics yesterday.  I can't believe another dance year is almost over.
Here is my Lexi.  I was very lucky to have them in the same dance class this year.  Having them in the same costume makes matching pictures...much easier.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back soon.

more pretty paper.

I had to go buy some Authentique Paper today.  It's so pretty and girly.  I did have to laugh because the cashier was trying to pull it apart because both side are so lovely.  She wanted to charge me twice because it was a 2 sided piece of paper.  :D  I love the paper but I don't want to pay $1.70 for each sheet.  LOL

As soon as I came home I found the perfect picture to go with this paper.  This is Gigi  before we headed to Cleveland for a surpise concert.  She looks so young here.   I used the sketch from Authentique Paper, They have gorgeous paper and I can't wait to use/get more.

Here's Gigi today before school.  I can't believe how much she's changed in one year.  I guess this is why we scrap.  We just want to capture each moment.

Here's my Lexi LuLu from today.  She had her spring concert this morning.  She had 2 parts.  She did a flag routine and she played a kazoo.  We were very proud of her this morning!!

Thanks for stopping by.  :D

Hello..Mojo!!

I love a good sketch and pretty paper!! I got to use both for this layout!  I actually got to use scraps...I just love using my scraps.

At night I've been watching Glitter Girl on Two Peas..I think she's my inspiration for this layout!   I used the sketch form The Paper Variety. It's a gorgeous sketch, I hope I've done it justice.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Dark Shadows!

I don't know if you remember watching dark shadows as a child? I do, some were in black and white...then they found color! If course they were all reruns on the SyFy channel. With the new release of the Dark Shadows movie, I accidentally found a book written by Laura Parker. So I did some research and there is a couple books!
I just finished Angelique's Descent last night!

It did have a slow start talking about Barnabas new life, but it gets a lot better once he finds Angelique's Journal! It was just great seeing everything from her perspective and how Barnabas and her life constantly intersect. I felt bad for her and near the end I felt bad for him!

I don't like spoiling things for other people, but I will tell you I'm going to read the next one!

I'm turning into a book worm!

love the basic grey blog!!

Here's for another challenge.  It's the 2 different types of fonts for the title.  I love the look of mixed fonts.  I believe it's add to the dimension of a project.
This is a layout about my baby..we have her a new nick name this week.  I just love my lexi lulu!!

Thanks for looking!!

I know it's been a LONG time!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything since 2010.  Well being a mom of 2 growing, busy girls, things get pushed to the back burner.  For instance I've hardly scrapped in the past few months.  But you know I keep getting new scrappy stuff.  It's an addiction I know.  LOL Well..let me show my girls..they have grown a lot.  *pout*

Here's Ms. Lexi, she 8 and full of life.

Here's Gigi, she's in her preteen glory.

Here's the most recent LO I've made.  I made it for blog hop by Design by Diana.  It's a great sketch..I hope everyone stop and wishes her a happy 3rd blogiversary.
Well I hope I'll be back before 2014.  :D
Love ya!!

Crafty Projects!

Well some people on facebook are trying to stress me out. They have put up their Christmas decorations and even started their Christmas Shopping. A couple people have even started counting down. Now because of all this madness. I've found myself doing Christmas projects with the girls. The problem is that I normally don't start anything until after Thanksgiving. I have my turkey then I start to think about Christmas.

The projects I've done are pretty fun and family friendly. We either do them together or the girls pick out the designs.

One of the easiest things we've done is make refrigerator magnets. I went to M's and bought little round magnets. We then glued them to different embellishments. The girls had a blast and we ran out of magnets in a matter of minutes. My favorites are the ones we glued to Sassafrass felties. These magnets will make great little Xmas presents for family members (except that apple is staying on my fridge).

Also we've been doing some chemical glass etching. I'm so in love with this technique. It's so easy and fun. There are tons of tutorials online.

Lastly here's a little project I made for Lexi. She's getting this for Xmas. :) I just hope she likes it.
I hope you all can get crafty soon. Also, have a fabulous Thanksgiving! :)

Really...since June!

Really has it been that long since I've made a blog post. Geez let me blow the dust off.

Well we've had a super busy summer and fall. I've barely had time to scrap or think. I've been working full time since July 1st and coaching cheerleading this year. Let me tell ya...coaching is like a second job! I love it though...I love be able to do an activity with my kids. I think it's important to be active in their lives..no matter how silly I look. LOL

Sunday was the first day in a very long time I had NO plans. I didn't HAVE to go anywhere....it was a fabulous experience. So I stayed home and I scrapped. I blew the dust off my desk and I went to work. Here's what I did:

I did the All-Stars layout for a challenge on ScrapJazz. It was a recipe challenge. Use a stamp, letter stickers and only cardstock. No pattern paper.

I hope that you all have been well! I'll be back soon..because someone sent me mojo. :)

I played this weekend!

I played with paper this weekend. I received my first Scarlet Lime kit and it was filled with yummy-ness. I couldn't wait to scrap with it. I played with it Saturday while waiting for hubs to come home from work. I have a lot of paper and embellishment left to work with because I bought 2 different kits.

I did these two LOs from a prize kit I won a long time ago. These bright papers fit with the girls at the moment. This LO I did for Sketchy Thursday. I just adore their sketches.

Tonight Lexi had her dance recital. She was gorgeous on the stage. I couldn't wait to get home and get these pictures edited and up. Yep..she was a bride. They danced to Going to the Chapel. I had to get a pic of her and her daddy together. I can just see the same picture in 20 or 30 years when she actually gets married.

*I can't wait to scrap these.*

Have a great day!!

Whew....this weekend is over

What a crazy weekend we had around here. We were busy busy busy.

Friday: shopping for a friend's children' birthday party
Saturday: work, soccer, birthday party, baking
Sunday: bake sale, soccer picnic

After this crazy weekend, I managed to find time and *energy* to scrap tonight.

I've been wanting to do this one about Lexi for a while. I listed all her favorites. I'm sure some of it will be different next week, but as of right now her favorites are correct. I used this weeks sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.

I did this one for Sketchy Thursday. I really liked how it turned out. I played with my glimmer mist to make the circles. I *think* I need to get some more colors. :)

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

a little scrappiness

I love working or being back in the work force, but it's a lot harder to find time to scrap. So since I'm working 29 hours or so a week, I've decided to treat my self to a new scrapbook kit! I joined the Scarlet Lime kit club! I can't wait until I get it in the mail around the 10th. :D

Here's a couple LO I've done recently.

I did the top one for this week's Sketchy Thursday. I used pictures from this winter and some eyelets I bought forever ago. The girls were like, "what's all that banging Mommy?"

I did this one for sketch 200 on Scrapbook Challenges. I used pictures from the first time Lexi met Mrs. West. She really going to miss her during the summer.
I hope you are having a great scrappy weekend!!

Sketchy Thursday!

I'm loving the sketches over at Sketchy Thursday! It's helping me scrap some of my many photos that are laying around.

For this week's sketch I bust out Lexi's 6th birthday party pictures. I just felt inspired by them. Plus Lexi loves when I make layouts about her.

On a side note, a Big Lots near where I live had the Cuttlebug folders. I got a few tonight and I cut those circles, on the above layout, with a new die. Gigi and Lexi had a blast breaking in all the new folders and dies. I was very entertained watching them cut paper and rolling them through the cuttlebug.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my stuff! See ya soon!

Wow it's been a long time!

Sorry I've been such a bad blogger. We've been super busy, plus I had ZERO mojo.

I'm now a working mom...whoo hoo! I'm glad to be back at work. Both girls are in school, so the timing was perfect. Right now I'm working part time, but that's like 30 hrs a week! I definitely couldn't say no! The girls are settling well,to me working again.

I'm also an official soccer mom, both girls are playing this spring. They are loving every second of it! I love that they love it! Lexi is a scoring machine. I think she's scored in almost every game. Gigi is the smallest on her team, but she plays as hard as she can. I just wish the weather was better. They have played in rain and sleet for a couple weekends!

Pretty soon I'll be posting pics of Lexi's dance recital costume. I'm going to do a photo shoot real soon! She's going to be so adorable on the stage!

On to some recent scrappiness, I finally found some mojo this evening! I'm really excited that I made two Layouts tonight.

This one I made with the Scrapbook Challenges sketch 198. It's of my nephew's birthday party last year.

This one is for Sketchy Thursday. I finally started cutting into my Sassafrass Lass papers. I just love their colors.

Thank you for visiting! Hopefully I'll be back soon!
