Crafty Projects!

Well some people on facebook are trying to stress me out. They have put up their Christmas decorations and even started their Christmas Shopping. A couple people have even started counting down. Now because of all this madness. I've found myself doing Christmas projects with the girls. The problem is that I normally don't start anything until after Thanksgiving. I have my turkey then I start to think about Christmas.

The projects I've done are pretty fun and family friendly. We either do them together or the girls pick out the designs.

One of the easiest things we've done is make refrigerator magnets. I went to M's and bought little round magnets. We then glued them to different embellishments. The girls had a blast and we ran out of magnets in a matter of minutes. My favorites are the ones we glued to Sassafrass felties. These magnets will make great little Xmas presents for family members (except that apple is staying on my fridge).

Also we've been doing some chemical glass etching. I'm so in love with this technique. It's so easy and fun. There are tons of tutorials online.

Lastly here's a little project I made for Lexi. She's getting this for Xmas. :) I just hope she likes it.

Really...since June!

Really has it been that long since I've made a blog post. Geez let me blow the dust off.

Well we've had a super busy summer and fall. I've barely had time to scrap or think. I've been working full time since July 1st and coaching cheerleading this year. Let me tell ya...coaching is like a second job! I love it though...I love be able to do an activity with my kids. I think it's important to be active in their lives..no matter how silly I look. LOL

Sunday was the first day in a very long time I had NO plans. I didn't HAVE to go anywhere....it was a fabulous experience. So I stayed home and I scrapped. I blew the dust off my desk and I went to work. Here's what I did:

I did the All-Stars layout for a challenge on ScrapJazz. It was a recipe challenge. Use a stamp, letter stickers and only cardstock. No pattern paper.

I played this weekend!

I played with paper this weekend. I received my first Scarlet Lime kit and it was filled with yummy-ness. I couldn't wait to scrap with it. I played with it Saturday while waiting for hubs to come home from work. I have a lot of paper and embellishment left to work with because I bought 2 different kits.

I did these two LOs from a prize kit I won a long time ago. These bright papers fit with the girls at the moment. This LO I did for Sketchy Thursday. I just adore their sketches.

Tonight Lexi had her dance recital. She was gorgeous on the stage. I couldn't wait to get home and get these pictures edited and up. Yep..she was a bride. They danced to Going to the Chapel. I had to get a pic of her and her daddy together. I can just see the same picture in 20 or 30 years when she actually gets married.

*I can't wait to scrap these.*

What a crazy weekend we had around here. We were busy busy busy.

Friday: shopping for a friend's children' birthday party
Saturday: work, soccer, birthday party, baking
Sunday: bake sale, soccer picnic

After this crazy weekend, I managed to find time and *energy* to scrap tonight.

I've been wanting to do this one about Lexi for a while. I listed all her favorites. I'm sure some of it will be different next week, but as of right now her favorites are correct. I used this weeks sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.

I did this one for Sketchy Thursday. I really liked how it turned out. I played with my glimmer mist to make the circles. I *think* I need to get some more colors. :)

a little scrappiness

I love working or being back in the work force, but it's a lot harder to find time to scrap. So since I'm working 29 hours or so a week, I've decided to treat my self to a new scrapbook kit! I joined the Scarlet Lime kit club! I can't wait until I get it in the mail around the 10th. :D

Here's a couple LO I've done recently.

I did the top one for this week's Sketchy Thursday. I used pictures from this winter and some eyelets I bought forever ago. The girls were like, "what's all that banging Mommy?"

I did this one for sketch 200 on Scrapbook Challenges. I used pictures from the first time Lexi met Mrs. West. She really going to miss her during the summer.

Sketchy Thursday!

I'm loving the sketches over at Sketchy Thursday! It's helping me scrap some of my many photos that are laying around.

For this week's sketch I bust out Lexi's 6th birthday party pictures. I just felt inspired by them. Plus Lexi loves when I make layouts about her.

On a side note, a Big Lots near where I live had the Cuttlebug folders. I got a few tonight and I cut those circles, on the above layout, with a new die. Gigi and Lexi had a blast breaking in all the new folders and dies. I was very entertained watching them cut paper and rolling them through the cuttlebug.

Wow it's been a long time!

Sorry I've been such a bad blogger. We've been super busy, plus I had ZERO mojo.

I'm now a working mom...whoo hoo! I'm glad to be back at work. Both girls are in school, so the timing was perfect. Right now I'm working part time, but that's like 30 hrs a week! I definitely couldn't say no! The girls are settling well,to me working again.

I'm also an official soccer mom, both girls are playing this spring. They are loving every second of it! I love that they love it! Lexi is a scoring machine. I think she's scored in almost every game. Gigi is the smallest on her team, but she plays as hard as she can. I just wish the weather was better. They have played in rain and sleet for a couple weekends!

Pretty soon I'll be posting pics of Lexi's dance recital costume. I'm going to do a photo shoot real soon! She's going to be so adorable on the stage!

On to some recent scrappiness, I finally found some mojo this evening! I'm really excited that I made two Layouts tonight.

This one I made with the Scrapbook Challenges sketch 198. It's of my nephew's birthday party last year.

This one is for Sketchy Thursday. I finally started cutting into my Sassafrass Lass papers. I just love their colors.

Hello Mojo-Mojo

I've scrapped the past couple nights and it's been lovely!

Tonight I got to scrap with my new toy. I just bought a Cricut Expressions. It's so nice being able to cut big circles, with out having to pull out a plate and tracing it. I sold my baby bug to get this one. Lexi kissed "crickie" goodbye yesterday, but she already loves the new one. It's amazing how a new toy can spark some mojo!

For this layout, I used a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. These sketches are fabulous!

This layout I used a sketch from Let's Scrap and I'm double dipping it for Scrap the Girls. I love this picture of Lexi. She was dancing her heart out before her first dance class.

We haven't been doing to much lately, because of all the snow. Plus we become hermits in the winter. The girls start soccer next month and hopefully we can go play at the park soon. But for now, playing the Wii will keep them busy and active.

We are expecting more snow tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully we won't get to much. I hope you getting lots of sunshine and warmth. :D

Snow, Snow, Snow

It has snowed so much that taking pictures of it is depressing! As I type this it's snowing, again. I'm thinking spring...anyone else??

The girls have been home a lot lately. They haven't been to school since last Tuesday. We been trying to keep them entertained. We've played a lot of wii and made candies and just hung out. It's been a great break for them, but they miss their friends and they are ready to go back to school.

I haven't scrapped to much lately, but I've done one new layout and I hope to do more this week. I think the scrappy bug has bit me. I even have a few things in my cart at 2peas. :D

Here's the last LO I made, I used a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. I used my favorite October Afternoon papers.

Here's the Valentines the girls made, we were snowed in and couldn't go out and buy the box sets. They had fun making these. I think they are cuter than the boxed cards.

New Year...New Layouts

I hope everyone is keeping up with their resolutions. For me...I've done wii fit almost everyday, I haven't been scrap shopping and I haven't lost patiences with my mother (but I haven't called her either..eh eek).

We've been getting a lot of snow lately, so we really haven't done much but play games. The girls and I are getting better at Mario. We are on World 2. Lexi plays by living in the bubble. Gigi tries really hard but runs into evil mushrooms a lot. We all get frustrated and stop.

Lexi lost her first baby tooth. She's so happy, she felt kind of left out all her friends and her sissy all lost some baby teeth. Now she has the cutest gap in her mouth. :D

I scrapped a little last night while waiting for Tony to get home from work. Instead of watching Hoarders, I figured I do my part and use my stash. See it's not hoarding if I use it, right???

I used a January Sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. I think it turned out fairly cute. I used some of my Sassafrass and MS glitter.

This one is another Halloween LO! I just used cardstock, I couldn't find any pattern paper that I wanted to use.

I'm really looking forward to 2010. I even made resolutions this year.
*have more patience with Mom
*keep doing wii fit every day
*less shopping more scrapping (I've done really good with this as of late, I haven't bought a piece of paper since Oct. )

Christmas Crafts

Here's a simple project the girls and I did together.

We made very pretty ornaments for our family. I just love handmaking gifts for people. I don't know if they enjoy receiving them as much as we enjoy making them.

Here's what you need for these ornaments:
Clear bulbs (we bought ours at Michaels)
Tim Holtz' alcohol inks
make up sponges
die cut machine
vinyl
transfer tape for the vinyl

First we dropped some ink on a sponge

Next we dapped or smeared it all over the clear bulb. I prefer dabbing b/c it gives a cute polka dot design. Gigi was more of a smearer. Lexi is a dabber like me.

Next we let them dry.

Then we cut out different images with my Cricut using SCAL (I <3 SCAL) on the vinyl. We used the transfer tape to adhere the images to the bulbs.

All we have left to do is add some ribbon to the hoops and waa-laa we are done.

Even our Elf is getting into the spirit of craftiness!!

The Timmy in me

Well that kind of sounds weird....I attempted to do a couple Timmy tags. I have to say that man is uber talented.

These are my humble attempts.

Here's a Timmy inspired Holiday Card. I used ton's of embossing powder. It was so much fun to make.

Here's a Halloween LO, I did this week. I haven't scrapped it awhile, but I feel like my mojo is coming back. :D Hopefully there will be more to come.

Here's some keychains, the girls and I made for different people for xmas presents. I think they turned out really unique.

Here's the Christmas card insert that going out to family and friends. I took the photo myself and I was lazy and bought the template of 2peas.

Poor Little Blog

I'm sorry little blog!! Life is slowing down just in time for the holidays!

Cheerleading is officially until summer. Gigi's squad came in 2nd place at competition. They worked their booties off.

Lexi is doing well in Kindergarten. I'm so proud of her. She's adapted to school quite well. She just adores her teacher.

Now that life is getting back to normal, hopefully I'll be scrapping more. I miss playing with paper. I was gonna scrap Sunday, but I didn't get around to it. But, here's the last LO I made. It's Lexi in her ladybug Tu-Tu.

Here's my favorite picture of them right now. I took it Friday while there were playing in leaves.

Last night I went to an incredible crop. CJ and I cropped until 10:30pm. We left the crop early, we must be getting old. LOL She was out of pictures to scrap and I ran out of mojo.

I'm alive

I'm alive...we've just been so busy. I've turned into a taxi for my children. Today was the first day in forever we haven't had any plans. whew!! I'm still in my sweatpants. LOL sorry for the bad mental image but they are comfy.
Here's a run down of what we've been up to.
*Cheer Practice- Gigi has it 4 days a week Lexi has it 1 day a week.
*Football games on Sunday
*School- Gigi is a 3rd grader and Lexi is in Kindergarten.
*I'm a volunteer a couple days a week in Lexi's class.
*Lexi has started dance class on Thursdays once Gigi is done with competition cheering, she'll be in dance class.
*Weekends we been doing fun non-cheer related stuff. Late summer was birthday parties and swim parties. Now it's fallish activities. I LOVE FALL!!

We are just having fun as a family!

I've attached the last 2 LOs I made. I feel slightly inspired right now so hopefully I'll get scrappy tonight.

catching up!!

I finally scrapped. Whoo hoo!! I did a LO and card. It felt good to play with paper again. I even made cute bookmarks for back to school.

Tomorrow Gigi starts 3rd grade and Thursday Lexi starts kindergarten. I should be able to play more, I really don't know what I'm gonna do with both of them gone. I'll probably clean and organize and maybe play.

I don't want to overwhelm y'all with tons of pictures...but we've played, gone to the zoo, gone swimming, hung out, been to a bon fire, cheer practice, football games, birthday parties and just have had tons of fun. Oh and Gigi celebrated her 8th birthday.

In 2 weeks Gigi should be completely healed from her broken arm and she's decided she wants to do competition cheer. So I guess, we'll continue to be busy once school starts.

I hope to get my scrapping mojo back. We've been busy with other things, it seems like scrapping has taken a back seat. In two weeks I've done 2 LOs. Can you believe that??

Here's the LO..I got done this week. It's a picture CJ took last weekend on the photowalk. It's son Erik and my Lexi at the Alter of a local church. He really wants to marry her. I think it's so cute..but my hubby doesn't think so. You should check out CJ's...we used the same sketch this week. It's from 52 sketches.

Here's my 2 little Wildcats:

Gigi's arm is still broken, but we decided to take the sling off for the pictures. She's the best one armed cheerleader.

Today us girls had a "at home spa day" I did their nails, we had makeovers ( I let my 5 and 7 year old do my makeup). We had so much fun. We also made cupcakes..it was a perfect afternoon.

Long Week

We've had a long week!!
Tuesday the girls started Cheerleading practices. Practices run from Monday through Thursday (they added a Monday practice to the schedule...yey me). There are 57 little cheerleaders on my daughters' squad. It's fun trying to watch them coach so many girls. All the cheers are coming back to me from last year. I catch myself saying them...."lets get fired up".

On Wednesday we were at a play date and Gigi fell down and broke her arm. We didn't realize it was broke until Thursday. We took her to the ER and the x-rays showed a crack in her humorous, right underneath her shoulder. It never swelled nor did it bruise.

With this break, they didn't give her a cast. But we have to treat her as if she had a cast. She can't run, jump, swim, or really play. We have to keep her arm immobile. She also has to learn how to do everything with her left hand. So the first night we all ate with our less dominate hand, so she would feel better. Also after dinner we had a hands free jello eating contest. (Tony won... imagine that)

The Doctor said she can't cheer-lead until September. She a little upset about this. I think she can do it with out jumping. She'll just be a one armed cheerleader. One thing she is happy about is that she can play on the computer a lot more.

Today we went on the 2nd Annual Worldwide Photo Walk for our region. Luckily CJ came with us. Our poor region had 3 participants. We walked around a local park and took some pictures. I need to edit them and upload them to a site. We took pictures of flowers, kids and ourselves. We found really good mirrors for self portraits ( I should have redone my make up before I went).

Here's the only LO I've made this week. It's of Lexi practicing her new cheers. She's now a little wildcat. She's so excited about cheerleading and she's so cute doing it too. I did it for 52 sketches.

Well I hope your week was more relaxed than ours. We have plans all the way until next Friday. Starting with a car wash tomorrow.

Busy Weekend!!

Wow..we've had a whirl wind weekend!! When Tony's off it's go go go.

On Friday night the girls and I went to see the Field Army Band and Choir preform and following the performance was a great fireworks show. Gigi and Lexi loved it. The were worked up for a good 2 hours because of all the boomers.

On Saturday (4th of July) Gigi and Lexi was in a local parade for cheer leading. It was Lexi's first cheer leading event. She had a blast throwing candy out at the town, plus she got to spend time with her friends. After the parade we hung out with my SIL and her kids. We all rode together to see the fireworks. All the kids had so much fun at the park, where we ran into more friends. So there were even more kids to play with. Whoo hoo.

Sunday was an official day of rest..we did nothing. Woot Woot!!

Monday...we went to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. We all enjoyed the museum, it had everything from gems to dinosaur bones.

(our shutter bugs) Lexi had taken over a 100 pics between the past two days and deleted them all by accident. She wasn't too upset, but I was completely shocked when I only uploaded 9 pics.

Tuesday we went with my SIL and nephews to the Cleveland Metro Zoo, the kids had a blast looking at their dinosaur exhibit and their animals. We didn't even get to see the whole park..who knew the zoo closed at 5pm? Luckily we have Zoo Passes..we will definitely go back.

My little Lexi lost her camera at the zoo and she was so so so upset, but luckily some nice patrons turned it in and we picked it up at lost and found. I think she'll be more careful now with it.

Some Scrappiness!!

I've had a blast scrapping the past couple days. It's been fun. I just adore playing with new papers. I've scrapped a few events from the last couple weeks. I finally got around to editing some pictures. Whoo hoo

Here's a few LOs I've made the past couple days. I tend to use challenges as inspiration, they help me fill my books. I particularly love sketches...I didn't use them in the past, but now I seem to do mostly sketches.

This layout was done for Mix it Up, you need to use 4 manufactures, 4 pictures, flower and hand written journaling. The pictures were taken at the local flower garden. This LO is also going to double dip for ScrapJazz's July Challenge.

This LO was done for 52 sketches. I think it turned out cute. Lexi liked it. :)

I did this LO for ScrapJazz as well. The title had to be the same as a TV's shows title. I picked Charmed.

This LO is a double-dip as well. I did it for ScrapWhisper, the title had to be "one of a kind" and I used a sketch from Capture These Sketches.

For this LO, I also used a sketch from Capture these Sketches. It's a new sketch blog..so far they have some really cute stuff..check them out!

I hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend. I know we are looking forward to fireworks the next couple night. I'm hoping to get some good firework pictures. I've been reading about DSLR firework tips. Hopefully...I'll be posting some awesome pics.

I should be able to post things more often!!! My laptop is being repaired whoo hoo!!!

The girls and I have had a busy week. Pictures soon to come once I do a major editing session.
Sunday--swimming with cousins
Monday--swimming with cousins/strawberry picking..well more eating for them
Tuesday--Daddy was off and we bought a few flowers to plant
Wednesday--we went to see Transformers 2...it was pretty awesome. It's was incredible on the big screen.
Thursday--Michelle came over to scrap...later we bought the finishing touches for the flower garden
Friday--Meet Chris at the Butler Scrapbook store and once Tony got home we went to see fireworks in the next town over.
Saturday-- ran a few errands then had a picnic at the lake.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a day of rest. :)

It's the weekend

It's after mid night so it's officially Saturday. We were trying to figure out what to do tomorrow. I think we've settled on making cupcakes for Father's Day and going to the flower garden.

Even though it's been summer here, Monday we actually got to experience it. We went to the beach and had a blast with my Mom's Group. I'll add pictures later...I need to edit them. :)

I did go to Scrappy Thursday at CJ's. (check out her Quad Dip)

Here's what I created:

This is for BASB..it's a monochromatic challenge, I inked white thickers green.

This LO I did for Got Sketch and ScrapWhispers. The sketch was number 85 over at Got Sketch...They have such fabulous sketches over there. The title was the ScrapWhispers part, the title had to contain consecutive letters. Hence, Gigi Has It (GHI).

This Last LO was for 52 sketches. It was fun to make..I sewed that black circle by hand..I must learn how to use my sewing machine. :)

Schools Out for Summer!!

So it's been a while since my last post....but we are fighting over the computer and I don't get enough time to update my blog when Tony's home. I'm married to a gamer...but it's just not him, I play games too. If you are facebook you probably play or atleast heard of these following games.

mafia wars (it's like crack)
vampire wars (almost crack)
bloodlines (it's just pissing me off today...I'm tired of being attacked.)

enough of game chat.

We've had lots of fun since school let out!! Oh, Gigi got straight A's this semester. (whoo hoo) We've been to the lake and the girls had a blast, went to a birthday party at CJ's and everyone had fun.

We've also gone to an animal park too. At the animal park the girls got to feed all sort of critters. They made friends with deers, kangaroos, llamas and a buffalo (gigi didn't like him). Lexi's favorite animals were the horses and ponies. Here's some of the pics from the park.

While we were there a fawn was born. I watched the doe wash and take care of her. It was so amazing to be there to see it's first steps as well.

Nice and Quiet

We had a lovely quiet weekend!! We just hung around the house and pretty much did nothing, but I enjoy these quiet moments. I love to snuggle with my girls, even when Lexi is sick. I slept on the couch with her last night. She's looked so pitiful.

Well we had a fabulous weekend. Here's some pictures that I took and here's a run down of what we did.

*Thursday night...baseball (watched my nephew), finished registering Lexi for school, and Gigi's concert in the AM
*Friday night....nephew's birthday party
*Saturday...Nelson's Ledges State Park
*Sunday...Cook out
*Monday...rest and recooperation
*Tuesday..back to school for Gigi and feels like Monday for the rest of us!

I haven't been to scrappy this week (I think Mafia Wars has something to do with it)..but hopefully I'll get some scrapping in tonight and tomorrow. I'm hosting scrappy Thursday this week.

left until school lets out. I'm so excited about this summer. This Lexi's last summer before she goes to school and Gigi's summer before 3rd grade. My babies are getting big. There are so many things we want to do this summer.
*play at the parks
*Go to the beach
*Go to the zoos
*Go to the local nature parks
*read lots of book
*play in the yard
*play the wii
*learn how to do cartwheels
*Go to Washington DC for a couple days
*play with friends and family

This is just a small list of things to do!

This week's I heart face's contest is pick your favorite face. I have 2 favorite faces but, I went with this picture, I think she looks cute.

I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb book photo contest. If chosen, I grant I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites.

Here's a couple projects I did this weekend. I did this layout for Scrap the Girls and these cards for a crop on AllyScraps (but I didn't turn them in...I didn't get to last night, my hubby was playing MafiaWars on FB).

I have a few more projects in mind for the week so hopefully, I'll stop playing Mafia Wars too and scrap. (Tony and I are slightly competitive.)

I hope everyone had a fabulous mother's day!! I did, I have the best two kids in the whole world. They make being a mother so much fun!! We spent the weekend together playing and just having fun!!

Here's a couple pics we took yesterday. This first one I'm entering into I {heart} faces, laughter challenge.

These were us playing with the remote. Sometime the lighting looked good and other times it didn't, but we just went with the flow.

Also this weekend I did some LO for the Ally Scraps online crop. They have some great challenges and they motivated my mojo!

Hopefully, I'll get some more scrapping done this week. I'll see you all later. I gotta run and play!

After I picked the Gigi up from school yesterday, she tells me that she wants to check out books about magic tricks. So off to the library we went. She picked up 4 books about magic trick and Lexi got 3 books about horses. So our afternoon was planned out..we went from the library to Micheal's where we picked up magic wand parts.

They've already learned one trick already...this should be an interesting weekend of magic and fun!!

Oh....Ally Scraps is having an online crop this weekend. Come out and get "funky" or scrappy!!

This week I'm entering the I {heart} faces kids. I love this picture of Gigi. I added a vignette, which I learned how to do from ClickenMoms. That site is full of photo information and tutorials. Check them out!!

Saturday we decided to make a fun dinner for the girls. They both love and adore iCarly (on Nick). So we decided to make one of Carly's favorite dinners..we made Spaghetti Tacos. I know it sounds really weird..but it wasn't that bad. :) It was slightly messy, but that's what made it soo much fun.

Saturday was also National Scrap Day (NSD)...I had fun scrapping at home. I hit crops on ScrapJazz, Noel Mignon and I even did a LO for ScrapWhispers.

This is my first alter frame. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet. Here's a few more projects from the weekend.

Rainy days ahead

Of course Tony is off this weekend so it will be rainy. LOL it always happen that way.

Yesterday I went scrappy shopping and had a blast. I shopped for about 45minutes and waited in line for about 1.5 hours. It was total craziness, but seriously fun. Chrispea is a great person to wait in line with. :)

Here's what I bought. I got some really really pretty papers. There is some Crate, Pink Pasilee, MM and MLS.

Here's something that melted my heart today. While I was doing dishes, Lexi pulled out some stamps and ink and made me a pretty card. I love that she makes random little cards and letters like that. Of course daddy got one too.

Here's a new LO for Scrapwhispers. They have a great challenge this week. It's a Black and White Challenge with one pop of color. So I took a recent shot of Gillian and removed the color and created a LO off of that.

Kites & More

All I can say is it's been a wonderful day. It has hit 80 degrees here in N-E Ohio!! Today I went to a kite festival with the girls and friends. We had a wonderful time. There were kites and a life size Candy Land Game. Gigi won the candyland game (whoo hoo).

Isn't this just the coolest kite ever?? It looks like a monster attacking a playground.

After the kite festival because it was so warm..we didn't want to go home. We decided to head to Volant which is Amish country. It's so beautiful there and I just adore the Amish. I tried to respect their beliefs but I accidentally took a picture of a little Amish boy. I didn't notice it until I started editing the photos. He was in the shadows. (oops). Once we went inside this mill we saw the same little boy chugging on a Mt. Dew. It really amused me to see that. He was drinking Mt. Dew while staring at my girls like they were crazy.

isn't it cute?? I'm going to use it to shake powdered sugar on whatever I make.

Okay....now I have scrapped a little this week.

Spring break is over...

We had such a blast this week. I'm so sad it's over but..Gigi had to go back to school. Lexi and I got to do some extra snuggling this morning before she had to do her own school work.

Gotta love holiday weekends.
The girls had a blast this weekend. They did everything from dying eggs to hunting them.

They are going to enjoy spring break..I'm hoping they won't get to bored.
On Easter evening, I scrapped with one of my friends and accomplished the following LOs.

Yep, last night I played with paper!! Whoo hoo!!

It's for the 52 sketches blog! It was a fun sketch to get my mojo flowing. Hopefully I will scrap some more today. It's raining out so, we won't be going outside to play.

Yesterday afternoon the girls and I were outside. I'm so glad they can burn off that energy by playing outside again.

Ok, now I made these cards for a couple of preggo friends. I need your opinion, I haven't sent them out because my hubby, kids, and a close friend thinks it's a obese person rather than a pregnant person. No Flash!

It's week 11 at I {heart} faces and it's a no flash challenge. I knew immediately which picture I wanted to submit. Plus I'm trying to keep it even with the girls. :) Last week was Gigi and this week it's Lex.

I took this picture of Lex at the park and instantly fell in love with it. She has this cute thinking look on her face. She seems so serious. I love snapping pictures of these moments.

Here's a LO I did for 52 sketches. It turned out fairly cute.

The girls and I hung out a lot this weekend. I bought their Spring/Easter Dresses and some new webkinz. Yep we've added Fluffy and Hoppers (and they are already online) to our family. Then yesterday we went to my niece's birthday party, where Gigi lost tooth #5. Overall great weekend. I just love being their mom!! We just have so much fun together. (Oh, yeah...I didn't take a single picture this weekend.) Tony looked a little shocked last night when I told him that. LOL

I'm planning on getting scrappy today after I go to hobby lobby and buy some albums and refills. :) I have a huge stack of LOs that needs to be put away. I keep missing the HL sale. But I won't this week. :)

Yep we are wearing green here. I always wear Green on St Patty's Day. Plus if I didn't Lexi and Gigi would pinch me all day long. :)

Well it's week 10 at I {heart} faces and it's the green challenge.

I feel Scrappy!!

Finally I feel a little scrappy. I hardly scrapped this month. To me that's just nuts!! I can tell, I've been busy photo editing and learning to how to create better images.

Here's a LO I did yesterday. I did it for the 52 sketches, it's only the 2nd LO I made this month.

I also completed a gift album last night. It was quite simple once I got started. I'm just glad it's done and out of the way. Hopefully Tony won't offer my services anymore. :)

Yesterday, Tony and I celebrated our 9th anniversary. I still can't believe we've been married all these years. He's such a great hubby and father. I took this picture of him yesterday. I don't think he knew I was taking pictures of him. Muhahahaha (my evvvvill laugh)

Thanks to my girl CJ, I've been taking self portraits in the mirror. Apparently all the cool kids are doing it. So, I've take a few. I hope she post her's on her blog, because they turned out fabulous. Show them off CJ!!

I've played with paper!

I made a LO and a card. So I know I'm feeling better. I could probably create more but my baby wants to snuggle and how can I say NO to that.

Here's Lexi sleeping on the couch yesterday. She caught my cold. Poor thing, I hate to see my girls sick.

Here's Gillian this morning waiting for the bus. It was freezing out there. I was driving her nuts this morning by taking pictures of her. I keep telling her "Momma's got a new toy so I'm going to play." She thinks my camera should never leave the house. LOL

Now to some fun scrappiness! Yesterday I got some happy mail.
I got this camera strap cover in from Etsy.com. This camera strap is so me and I fell in love with it once I saw it. It's also reversible. Whoo hoo!! Here's the store in case you want a cover strap for yourselves. Baubles and Bits

I also received my Scrap Whisper's prize for weeks 14 and 15. I got 30 rolls of ribbon. I won't need to buy any for a while.

Yep...it's the weekend here again. It's been a long week but a great week!

Thursday, I went on a field trip with Gigi. We went to the local art museum and planetarium. She had a blast seeing all the stars and art. Her class was so good and well behaved. I felt very fortunate to be able to attend this field trip with them. Here's some pictures of our day. Gigi hated that I took pictures most of the day. She's getting to that age where she doesn't want her pictures taken all the time. But on the other hand Lexi wants to be in front of the camera at all times. She hams it up. :)

The weekend isn't over here....

Yep...more snow means Gigi is home from school, so our weekend has extended. So we get to hang around here for another day. I know for sure we aren't going anywhere. So we might just play and scrap the day away. I'll probably do some more reading on my camera. But so far I'm in love with it.

Lucky Me!!

I'm a lucky girl! Tony let me buy a DSLR from Circuit City. I got the last one in this area. I went to get a Nikon D40 but they ran out, so I got a Sony A350, with 14.2 mp. I'm seriously in love with this camera. I can't wait to learn all about it. I've been reading about digital photography for the past few days online.

Monday on Presidents day...we found something fun to do. Yep...I took the girls ice skating! We had so much fun. Gigi hit the ice a few times. Lexi fell once and I only fell once. I was proud because I haven't skated in years (12 years...ewwww). We all knew Lexi would do well...she's incredible at athletic stuff. Gigi is more clumpsy like me...plus she's in a growth spurt. :)

I will probably scrap some today/tonight. So, I'll post a LO soon. I hope you all have a great day.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I've had a great weekend hanging with the girls. Tony had to work all weekend, thanks to V-Day. The girls and I have been wii-ing it up all weekend. Sorry no pics of me on the fit board. LOL My age has varied all weekend. It will get better..I'm just hoping Tony decides to do it. :)

Here's a couple LOs I made this weekend. :) Yesterday my buddy...CJ came over and we scrapped. Woot woot!! I made this one yesterday when she was here. :) It came from a sketch in page maps.

I think this LO came out really cute. It's for the Coordination Collections 1 page LO contest. I how can anyone not love her little kissy face. :)

These next two layouts I did for the Noel Mignon Valentines Crop. They came up with fabulous challenges. They are so talented and fun over there.

One year older!

It's official I'm a year and a few days older. This weekend we celebrated by going out to eat and hanging around at home. We didn't do much but that was fabulous. We chilled watched some movies and just enjoyed time together. I can't ask for more than that.

Yesterday we saw the ground for the first time in a month. It so great to see grass and not tons of white snow. Unfortunately the snow that is left is not very pretty. But here's proof that there is grass visible.

Stir Crazy

I can't believe it...I've never seen so much snow...plus I've never seen snow hang around this long. Obviously I'm a southern girl!! Well the snow has kept me inside and I've become a little stir crazy. I want to go and play..but there isn't much to do..once it hits.

Well right now the girls are in bed, Tony is at work and I've got itune playing. I'm working on some winter ATC cards. I'll try to remember to post pictures of them once everyone gets them.

Here's what I've done this week:

This LO was fun to do...I finally used so glitter and my glue pad. Btw...my daughters really love glitter. We all sparkle from the glitter they've played with. :)

I did this for Scrap Whispers and the AMR's scraplift Challenge. I love the "Live your Life" by TI. It was my inspiration for this LO.

I did this tonight of Gigi playing on the computer. She's my lil Gamer, she loves to play computer games. She's always wanting to play on Webkinz, Buildabearville, ShiningStars or any other similar site. I did this one for the Mix it up Challenge Blog.

I hope you all have a great day...tomorrow I'm going to root for the Steelers in the Superbowl. I realized tonight..if I was still living in VA I'd probably be rooting for the Cards...but living here has influenced me to pull for the local team. Go Steelers!!!

It's a cold Monday here in O-hi-O!! I keep wondering, when will it warm up and melt all the snow. I'm so ready for spring and summer!!

Yesterday I got a chance to meet Chrispea at a fairly local store. We met up and shopped the afternoon away. She is so fun and adorable!! We've talked the whole time while we picked out such cute papers. I was in scrappy heaven. The store was huge with everything, you could possibly imagine. I can't wait to go shopping with her again, but hopefully it won't snow this time.

I've been scrapping today, while Gigi and Lexi worked on her letters!! Oh, today was report card day for Gigi as well. My 2nd grader came home with 4 A's and 1 B. I'm such a proud Mom. She does work hard.

Here's some LOs that I've been working on!!
I got these fun papers at Michaels.. I love this new friendly forest line!! It's so much fun!! I did this LO for ScrapWhisper and the AMR Royal Challenge. I double dipped again. :)

This LO is for the BASB, you needed to use 1 piece of pattern paper. I used Crate Paper!! I think it turned out cute!!

This was for the 52 sketches blog!! I love these pictures of Lexi and Princess sleeping together. :)

Here's another AMR challenge LO!! I also did it for the Mother's and Daughters Challenge blog. They set it up through the 52 sketches blog. I thought, why not?? LOL I love challenges...they are helping me get all my LOs done!!

scrappy weekend!!

With all the cold temperatures we've been having lately...I and the girls haven't gone anywhere. Saturday, some of my scrappy friends came here for an afternoon of playing with paper. While they were here, I managed to get 4 LOs done while chatting. I feel as if I was very productive.

I got snowed in...

yep I got stuck at home this weekend. We got about a foot of snow. Check out my other blog for pics. It wasn't so bad though. The girls and I played wii, ate; and hung out. Saturday night we fell asleep on the couch watching a Zac and Cody marathon on Disney. I woke up Sunday morning surround by my girls and dog. Princess was happy she got to join our impromptu slumber party. These are the types of moments I hope the girls will take with them through life.

Friday night started the AMR crop, you still have time to join in and do one of 36 challenges. Check out Stacey's Blog. She's got tons of cool things going on this year!! I'm so excited for her. :)

This weekend, I managed to get a few projects done.

First and foremost, my term as a designer started today at NBKS. Whoo hoo, I made my first post on their blog. Check it out and join up....leave some love there for me please!! :) Thanks!! :)

Today I also started a new blog: Through the Lens, it's blank right now but this is where I'm going to post all my Pictures, it might not be updated everyday but it will show all 365 pictures plus journaling. I believe this will be a great way to keep up with this project. I got the idea from Chrispea, she's uber talented and fun to talk too.

This weekend the AMR is have an 1 year Anniversary Crop, there will be tons of challenges, classes as well as fun! I hope to see you all there.

I can't believe tomorrow is the start of 2009...2008 flew by. It's been a better year than 2007!! But I think 2009 is going to be a stellar year...right Bekah!! (we keep saying this thinking it will come true)

I know many people start the new year out with resolutions or goals, but not me. I'm starting mine with a statement. "I'm going to try to do my best at everything I do." ( I already try my best..but I like to reissue my thoughts) As I type this I've been thinking about my word for 2009. Tons of words have been floating through my head...but the one I like the most is EMBRACE.
*I want to embrace my girls
*I want to be embraced by Tony
*I want to embrace what life has to offer
*I want to embrace change
*I want to embrace my friends
I could go on but I feel as if you get the point!

How could anyone not want to embrace these cuties??

More Cards!!

Today...Tony tells me he would like cards for his co-managers. I'm totally cool with this but,
I asked him like 2 weeks ago if he would like cards and he tells me NO. SO, today I asked if he wanted me to make them or go out and purchase them. Of course he leaves this decision up to me. Well I decided to make them because it's down right frigid outside. This morning it was 3 degrees with a wind chill of -17. I decide I'm not fighting the cold nor the stores for cards. So here's what I created today.

Today I was also very lucky to receive happy scrappy mail. I got Amanda Probst's new book. It's full of great scrapping prompts as well as beautiful LOs. I will definitely refer to it monthly for great scrapping ideas. From her book I learn that February 24th is National Tortilla Chip Day!! I love random facts like that.

A few new LOs

Hello all!!
I've done a few LOs this weekend. I played with paper Friday and a little Saturday. Here's what I came up with.

I did these to for the NBKS mini crop this weekend. They've got a couple more challenges I want to get done today. After I clean my house up. LOL

I've started going back and doing older pictures of when my girls were babies. It's gives me a lot more pictures to scrap. LOL

I had a huge box waiting at the door for me this afternoon after I picked up Gigi. I won a challenge at ScrapJazz and they sent me this:

Here is upclose shots. The paper is DreamStreet. The ribbon is Bazzil and almost everything else is Heidi Swapp.

I seriously couldn't believe, I got all of this!! I can't wait to play with my new scrappy stuff!!

Also, I did this LO today for a couple challenges. I went back and scrapped Gigi's first Christmas. I can't believe how big is now. **It felt good to go back and due an older pic!!**

I did this for Heather's Challenge on the AMR Blog and Got Mojo!! I double dipped!! :)

Challenges and Fun Stuff

This time of year the girls are giddy and excited. Lexi thinks Christmas is tomorrow, she says that everyday. They want to touch and open presents. I think it's almost too much for them to handle. It's really cute and adorable, I just love their innocence.

This year we are making a lot of presents. The girls are having a blast doing it, too!! We are making ornaments and hopefully keychains (if I can cut the acrylic).

Tonight I did get a little scrappy!!

I did this one for girls. Lookie, CJ I used your new favorite word. :)

I did this little card with a sketch from Sketchy Saturday. I know mine is a little boring but I love the white background.

I did this LO for BASB Challenge. I love this picture of the girls dancing together. They were just having so much fun.

I did this for the 52 sketches challenge. I fell in love with her sketch and couldn't wait to do it. I also adore this picture of Lexi. She was Sharpay on Halloween, therefore she was fabulous!!

Happy Mail!!

Wow did I get some Happy Mail Saturday. My blogger friend in Florida since me such a great package. I can't wait to use those stamps. I'm just love that frog stamp. (I think frogs, should be the next trend) She also made a cute card with Sassafrass Lass Paper. Thanks MaryAngella!!

We finally got the tree up this weekend. We put it up Saturday and now my house feels all Christmassy. All I need to do now is watch White Christmas then I'll be completely ready for Christmas except for the Christmas Shopping, presents and wrapping.

Gigi put the first ornament on the tree and Lexi did the last one. Lexi's out consist of Halloween Shirt and Valentine's PJ Pants. I think she's so cute with her own since of style.

I also did get scrappy this weekend too!! I got a few cards and LO done.

Yep...I'm making cards. Here's a few I made the other night. I hope you like them. They were pretty simple, but I'm getting lots of use out of my cuttlebug!!

This last one was the easiest but it looks really pretty to me. Well I'm off to make some more cards. I wish I could send everyone one but I don't have enough paper. :)

Oh when you write out your cards this year please fill an extra one out for a recovering solider. Gigi wanted to make a card for each solider in our military this year...she's such a sweetie. Lexi doesn't care as long as she gets to play with ink and stamps, she pretty easy. I just adore my girls.

Tony's Buns!!

Who would like some of Tony's buns??? He picked these up for our Thanksgiving Dinner...He commented how he had the coolest buns there. I love my dorky hubby. :)

We had a great time on Thanksgiving with Tony's brothers and their families. We had good food, conversations, and football. The best part was that all of our kids get along and played well together.

This week I haven't been to crafty but I did get a couple things done.

It's cold outside, we have our first snow storm of the year. We got about 3 inches last night and might get another 2 inches today. This afternoon once I pick Gigi up from school we will probably have a major snow fightball fight. I foresee me being very cold and wet, with 2 little happy girls whom won a major snow fight.

Yesterday my girls started coloring Butterflies for this cause. The want to send in a few butterflies for the children that passed away during the Holocaust.

Indian Summer.....

is officially over!! I know you all are sad too. Except those that live in Sunny Florida!! :)

With the ending of Indian Summer...comes the beginning of Winter. Even though the calender says it's not Winter, we all know it really is!!! Here's some signs I use to recognize the beginning of this very cold season.

1. The temperature (brrrrr)
2. The smell of wood stoves burning
3. You break out the Hot Chocolate (with lots of marshmallows)
4. You bust out all the thick sweaters and turtlenecks
5. You pack away your precious flip flops...for fear of frost bite
6. The sky turns gray...and the sun doesn't shine as much
7. You take off your toes rings...in fear of losing them in your house socks.
8. You think about making chili (when hubby's not home)
9. You start seeing snow flakes in you local forecast
10. Lastly, you actually start seeing snow!!!!

This time of year we start staying inside a lot because there aren't as many fun activities to do. I'm fine with that because we will spend some great quality time together.

slow weekend!!

This weekend we've done nothing but, it was welled needed. Part of the reason for do nothing is that I'm not feeling well. I finally caught that cold I've been fighting. Also, Tony wanted family time Saturday night. So we all hung out together and watched movies.

Yesterday I did manage to create some LOs. I did them for different contest. My friend and I both joined ScrapJazz and we are doing their November challenges. I think we only have 1 left to do.

This LO was for the 52 sketches challenge blog and Scrap Whispers challenge. Yep I doubled dipped. :)

I did this for the Scrap Jazz November sketch and Scrap Schemes Blog. It turned out cute...but it seems slightly plain to me. Yep...I double dipped again.

I did this one for fun. I wanted to scrap these pictures of Lexi. I think there are more LOs of Gigi in my books so I adding more of Lexi. I try to make it even.

Lastly Gigi scrapped yesterday too!! She was showing off her work.

We had such a busy weekend, I think Gigi was glad to go back to school for a break!!

Friday night we went on a Ghost Walk! It was so much fun and very interesting but very cold and wet. Yep..it rained the whole time! Gigi and Lexi were so brave..neither one got scared through the walk. I think they are both use to my ghost shows so a walk was nothing to them. But, because of the weather and darkness...I didn't get any pictures but there is one place I want to go back and take pictures of. There is an old pioneer cemetery. It's from the 1800's with gorgeous tombstones. I know it's weird but old cemeteries have so history and beauty in them. I just think they are gorgeous!!

Saturday we went pumpkin picking and had a blast...unfortunately it was to muddy for a hayride but it was still great. We all picked out very nice pumpkins and now Thursday or Friday, Tony has to carve them. It works we well for us. We go and pick them out and he's does all the hard work. After we went pumpkin picking we had a small Halloween party at my SIL's house. She had the kids make caramel apples and watch the Goonies! It can't get any better than candy and great Movie!!

Sunday..the girls and I went to see High School Musical 3. It was really cute and Lexi danced almost every time Sharpay was on the screen. Well Lexi is fabulous so it would only make sense. Gigi was just happy as a clam watching the movie. She's in love with Troy Bolton!

So today we just needed a day to rest!! Well the girls rested, I got scrappy! I made a birthday card for my BIL, and new LO, and finished my fall ATC cards. I was quite productive! LOL

Happy Saturday!!

Last night I took the Girls on their first ever Ghost Walk!! It was the coolest walk through the local area, where different *spirits* would tell their stories of murder and mayhem. We heard some very interesting stories as well as saw some great home and historic sites. The Girls did not get scared or startled once. The worst part was it rained the whole time. I didn't get any pictures at the event but I did get some cute ones before we left the house. These pictures are going to be so fun to scrap.

Here's some of my scrappiness of the week.

Once last thing...we celebrated another year of my husband's life on Thursday!! Happy Birthday Sweetie!! He's officially turned 39, but tells everyone he's 29.

Fall is here!

It's officially fall now. I've have turned the heat on and it probably won't come off again until April??

Last week we took advantage of the warm weather. Tony and I took the girls on a picnic. We took them to the park so they could see all the leaves change and enjoy the nature. As we ate our dinner we had a flock of visitors. A whole bunch of geese wanted to see what was for dinner. Fall is peaking here and it's just lovely! I love showing the girls all the great things nature can do!

Some how I found time to scrap this weekend. The girls had a sleep over with their cousins and then a Halloween event. Also on Saturday we attend a Mustard Party...yep it was a party for mustard. CJ did a great hosting it. We had a lot of fun, but we had to leave early because we had a long day.

I did this one for the Cord Camera Sketch Challenge. Stephanie added a twist and wanted people to use fabric. I used the fabric but I really didn't follow the sketch. I actually used my sewing machine on this LO! This is not my best work but it's done!!

New Layouts...finally!!

I believe as cheerleading was ending my mojo was returning. I feels so good to be able to play with paper and actually create something cute and totally me but first I have to show my kids. LOL

Lexi and Gigi both got new hair dos this week. Gigi got a big trim where as Lexi received a whole new do. Now she picked out her cut all by herself and she loves it!! She's been glowing since Friday night.

Sunday was the last day of Cheerleading unless one of the teams make it to the Superbowl. The best part of Sunday's game besides it being the last game was that "The Little WildCats" won the game. It was our first win of the season.

Since the WildCats won...we decide it was an excuse to make brownies at home. LOL I thought it was a good reason. They were good brownies too!! :)

Okay, here's my scrappiness

I've made about 12 xmas cards that look like this but each one is slightly different. I've used different colors and different cuttlebug embossing.

I got the idea of this card from the small Stamping Convention I went to this weekend with CJ.

Lastly this is my favorite LO, I've made in a while. It was fun to make last night while Tony was flipping through 3 different sporting events.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!!

We just celebrated Lexi's 5th birthday!!! I can't believe my baby just turned 5! She is so full of life and she just oozes of sweetness!! She has been planning her birthday party is last year. She had to have a Tea Party and a new tea set. She also had to have a guitar because she in a band and they practice at our house (this was all news to me).

Her party was a smash. She decided she want make your own Taco Salads for the menu. It was a great choice because it was something different than the normal pizza. The kids also had an impromptu dance party. We had Hannah Montana playing and they just danced along. She also got tons of cool presents. Her Nana and Papa gave her a Nintendo DS and her Gee-Gee and Papa gave her a really cool doll house. Of course Mommy and Daddy bought the Guitar for her as well as some stuff.

It's a new week!!

This weekend...we just hung out around here. There wasn't any thing set in stone. I love weekends like this that just flow naturally.

Saturday...Tony and Gigi had a date. They spend the afternoon together doing Daddy Daughter things. They went to see Kunfu Panda and played Putt Putt. While they played together...I took Lexi out for lunch and ice cream. My Lexi can eat ice cream like no other. :) She loved her giant scoop of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. She ate every last morsel. We we came home...we got to play and relax.

Sunday It was Parent's Day for the Little Wildcats! This was the first game Tony was able to attend. The poor thing got to experience cheer parenting first hand. Ugh..I'm just glad there are only 2 games left, but at the same time I'm sad because Gillian really loves it. Next year both girls will be cheering.

Don't she look miserable. It was so cold and chilly.

Through out the weekend I even got to scrap!!

I love these pictures of Lexi...because she had a blast playing with her Rock Buddies. This is what she looked like everyday after cheer practice. She would have a Slushy and play in the dirt. Isn't she cute???

Balloons, Fall and Fun!!

All I can say is we had a great weekend and I'm sad it's over!! (Sorry in advance...tons of pictures)

Friday night the girls, Jimmy(nephew) and I made white chocolate chip cookies. We even used the big daddy mixer to help make them. They were very yummy....but now they are gone. :( After Jimmy left and tons of playing around, the girls and I crashed Friday night while watching National Treasure. We just adore this movie! We basically had a slumber party minus the popcorn.

Saturday...we had a busy fabulous day. We met up with my SIL and went to a local farm's fall festival. There were crafts, food and things for the kids to do. They had a mini corn maze for the kids to run through. Aunt Rosie bought both girls a mini pumpkin and Indian corn. Our table is very festive now. BTW...zip dry glue can glue a pumpkin stem back to the pumpkin. Just in case you all ever have a pumpkin emergency like we did.

Saturday we also went to a Hot Air Balloon Festival. It was totally amazing and visually awesome. The girls had so much fun watching and cheering for each balloon as they lifted up into the blue sky. I believe this is an event everyone should go to at least once. We will go back again next year. A lot of the fun was waiting around for the launch the girls played and ran around and around and around....of course they had tons of food there too.

Yesterday Gigi had her first home game for the Little Wildcats...As hard as they cheer for them they just can't seem to win a game. But, Gigi is loving cheerleading and looks forward to the games..I'm hoping we win at least one game this season. Go Cats!!

Crafting Tornado

It's been an interest few days. Well Sunday what was left over of Ike hit Ohio (I really thought moving to Ohio meant I didn't have to worry about hurricanes any more). We had a major wind storm, gust up to 60 mph. We got lucky and never lost power or cable but we did have some wind damage. We lost a few branches and limbs. Across the street a tree toppled over and down the road a tree fell a car. Tony and I had flash backs to Hurricane Isabelle which was about 5 years ago and we lived in VA.

Here's some pictures of my little helpers. We put them to work, because Gigi didn't have school and they were home. Precious Gigi didn't want to pick up sticks and asked for an easier job. Lexi just wanted to make pompoms out of helicopters. They kept asking last night if Ike was coming back tonight.

After operation clean-up we decided to try a new crafty technique. We watched a video on chalking and decided to bust it out. The girl pulled out the Halloween box of supplies and I got my chalk out and we went to town. They decided they wanted to make Halloween cards.

Just be warned....this drove me nuts. I can't work in clutter because I feel overwhelmed and stressed!

Just to let you know...it's all cleaned up now...it was actually cleaned up 20 minutes later. Hopefully I can get some more scrappy stuff done today.

I got scrappy!!! I got scrappy!!! I got scrappy!!!

Can you tell I found the mojo??? My friend CJ came over Friday night for a few hours scrappy fun. She made some very cute kick hiney cards. She's going to have all her Christmas cards done before Halloween! I have 1 Christmas card done. I'm planning on making them this year, but I'll probably buy them again!! Anyway, why she was here I did my Cord Camera Sketch Challenge. It was a 2 page LO and I had to cut a picture. Lexi was worried because I had to cut through her arm. She said, "Mommy are you going to clue me back together?".

I couldn't wait to scrappy these pictures of Gigi. It shows her having so much attitude. I just love it. Of course she's wearing Tony's hat. She thinks she such a bad ass sometimes. LMAO!!

Here's a new technique I tried this weekend. I found it on Haute Artist, they have the best tutorial this month in honor of National Stamping Month!! Happy Stamping everyone!! I have no idea what I'm going to do with it but it was fun to make. Don't try this technique with silver embossing powder...stick to the clear!! LOL

Here a LO I made while Ohio State got beat by USC!! Ugh, Tony stopped watching in the first quarter and took over the computer. The girls were in bed so I scrapped. I made one LO and one card.
I love this picture of Gigi because she was trying to do a cartwheel. One day she will get it!!

I also made a card but I can't post it yet..because it's for my BFF in VA!!! Hopefully I'll get it in the mail tomorrow. Love Ya Bekah!!

In the swing of things.

We are getting use to our school schedule now. Gigi has been a trooper getting up early and going to school. Lexi is getting use to being home by herself during the day. We are working on letters and sound while Gigi is studying hard in the second grade. Her spelling words this week are pretty simple so she shouldn't have any troubles with it. :)

We had a very important vistor this week. The Tooth Fairy has made her first trip to our home. Gigi lost her first tooth Monday night. After a lot of negotiating, I was finally able to wiggle the tooth out. Not pull but wiggle. Here's what the terms were:

1. ice cream after bedtime
2. TV while sleeping
3. sleeping in my bed.

This weekend we went to the Canfield Fair, which is rumored to be the biggest county fair in the country. I do have to say it's bigger than the VA state fair. Here are some random pictures from fair.

It's friday!! Thank Goodness!! No cheer practice today whoo hooo!!

This week Gigi started the 2nd grade and she was so adorable. Her big is huge compared to her little body. I can't wait to scrap these pictures.

Lexi had a dentist appointment earlier this week and she was champ. She didn't cry and she actually smile when he took her x-rays. Of course I took the before and after shots. :)

OMG summer's over

Today is it..it's the last day of Gigi and Lexi's freedom. Tomorrow Gigi goes into the second grade and Lexi will be home all day with me writing her ABCs. Over the last week we have celebrated summer as well as Gigi's 7th Birthday. She is spoiled rotten!! Her Nana and Papa was even here for most of the week. Gigi and Lexi both got lots of toys and WEBKINZ!! (I'm fighting for computer rights!)
In the last week we've been visiting and running all over the place.

Last Sunday-- My Parents arrived! (yey me!) They gave the girls fake chop stixs. So we had to have Chinese food so they could play.

Monday--I got some Gigi and Lexi love before I got to babysit my parent's dog while they took the girls shopping.

Tuesday-- Hey I got to scrap today!! Whoo hoo!

Wednesday-- Time to make the Cupcakes for the cheerleading squad for Gigi's birthday!

Thursday--Gigi is 7!!! Happy Birthday Gigi!!

Friday--Road Trip, we took a 3 hour drive to the Columbus Zoo. Mom and Ray left for VA as we headed out the door to the Zoo!

Last Night--Bonfire to celebrate the football season for both the players and the cheerleaders!! There was music and fun for everyone (mostly the kids).

Today--Football Game!! Go Wildcats!!

Tomorrow-- First Day of School!!

WHEWWWW!! Now I'm really tired. I've taken tons of pictures this week!! Hopefully I'll find my mojo soon so I can get scrappy with them. I hope Mom didn't take him home with her.

My mother has been bit by the scrappy bug and now wants to scrap. She already has some tools including the cricut!! I sent her home with some other tools she may need. I tried to help her out some. I can't wait to see what she creates with all her new scrappy purchases.

2 weeks left!!

In 2 weeks Gigi will be back in school. I can't believe how fast this summer went. It's seems like yesterday she just got out on break. This week we went and bought her new school supplies. I love suppy shopping. There is something about new notebooks and pencils. We also went clothes shopping too. She at that age where I let her pick out her own clothes. I realized she's such a unique girl, she girly with an edge. I love that she has her own sense of style.

Also, this week we are celebrating her 7th birthday. Well her party is this week the actual birthday is next week. She's having a High School Musical Party. For fun, we are doing HSM sing along. Now I know everybody will love that. LOL Don't you all wanna sing "Bop Bop Bop to the Top"?

This weekend some of friends convinced me to go to a 12 hour crop. I was going to cancel and go to Va and then that fell through. Then I was going to still cancel but I was told to go and get good stories. It was fun to have a night away from everyone. I got to play with other adults and be silly. At the crop I made 5 LOs. They are in my Flickr gallery. Some are really cute. :)
Here we are being goofy. Let me tell you I was lucky to get 5 LOs done!!

Well now on to new LOs. After the crop I had some pretty good MoJo!

What a mess!!!!

I've started a project today looking for toddler pictures of me. I decided while looking at picture to pull them out of those old photo albums. I didn't want them to get ruined. I found some good pictures and I even found some subway tickets from my first ride on the DC rail. I was a scrapper from the start. I've always enjoyed taking photos so I guess wanting to scrap has come naturally.

I haven't scrapped anything this weekend or today. I'm sort of saving pictures to scrap Saturday at the Cord Camera's 12 hour Crop. Whoo Hoo!! It's going to be 12 hours of non-stop giggling, laughing and scrapping. My friends from around here convinced me to go and I'm grateful that they talked me into it.

So I'm going to leave you with the last LO I made. I used Prima Papers and I did it for the Cord Camera Message Board Sketch Challenge.

We like to say HELLO. LOL .sorry This cheer is stuck in my head. :)

I can't believe it's almost August. It's almost time to go back to school. We've had so much fun this summer playing and hanging out with our family. Right now we are in the midst of cheer practice. Gigi is doing a fabulous job on her squad. I'm so proud of her. I'm even happier she's socializing and making new friends. Yesterday we got her uniforms and of course she's adorable in it. Saturday they are having their pictures taken in them.

Yesterday we went to Tony's restaurant family picnic. The girls and Tony had a blast playing on the swings and merry go round. I do have to say it's hard to push a 200lb man on the swings. LOL If Tony wasn't playing with the kids, he was manning the grill. It was nice to meet some of his employees. I met a lot of people and of course I don't remember anyone name. Eventually I will learn.

Well we have been busy running to cheer practice 3 days a week plus playing and watching my nephews! Wow this has been a very long week. Not much is new around here though, we haven't done anything really fun lately. Hopefully next we can go somewhere and play. :)

Between school and life I have managed to create a few LOs and a card.

Summer Rain

Rain Rain go away, I wanna go to the Medieval Faire today!!!

Oh well because it's raining today, we will have a nice quiet day at home. I foresee a day of laundry, possibly scrapping and packratting. If you are wondering about packratting, it's a game on facebook that my guys friends are obsessed about. They have drawn me into their ratting world. It's a cute game all you have to do is collect cards and complete sets. Tony makes funny of me for playing. But, he thinks I'm a dork anyway.

It's been awhile since I've updated but we've been really busy. They girls and I have been having tons of summer fun. I feel like I've neglected my blog and my MBs. I think things will slow down soon.

Last week Tony and I took the girls to the Cleveland Zoo. It's a nice Zoo but all the exhibits are far apart so there is lots of walking involved. The girls loving see all the big Animals that the Akron Zoo didn't have. Here's just a few pics from that day.

Yesterday was the AMR Monthly crop, they had tons of challenges but I sort of scrapped pictures that I've been wanting to due. It was a great excuse to spend the night scrapping. Happy Sunday Bloggers!!

Wow it has been a long weekend...week. We have been so busy around here lately. We've been playing nonstop and enjoying our summer. The girls and their cousins have been playing hard. It's amazing how much fun a sand buckets can be. The kids had hours of entertainment with buckets and water. They were soaked but had a blast. It's amazing I stayed some what dry.

On the 3rd we braved the rain and saw the Army Field Band Perform and fireworks. The band was fantastic of course they played my favorite march, Stars and Stripes Forever by John Phillips Sousa. Yes...I'm a band geek. After the concert the fireworks started. I think it was the best display we've ever seen. We were right underneath them and they were amazing. I've never seen them from that angle. I was a little scared that we would get burned at first but we were completely safe.

On the 4th Gigi was in her first parade. She was on the float and threw out candy to the crowd. She had a blast during the parade. Lexi had fun watching the parade and getting all the candy that was being thrown at her. She racked up tons of candy. Yey Us!!

We saw fireworks with my Sister in Law and her kids. They had so much fun watching the fireworks together. Here's a picture of them.

Wow another week has started.

This week we just chilled out at home. It was fabulous and calm. I didn't have to go anywhere or do anything.

Well while I have clothes in the washer and dryer. I figured I'd show you some new LOs I made this weekend. I hope you like them. :)

Fun times

Yesterday Tony was off and he can't sit still when he's home from work. We started out at McD's where we gave the girls options. Either mini golf or the zoo. They picked the Zoo of course. We drove to Akron and had a great time at the zoo. Gigi liked all the animals. Lexi's favorite was the deer. We are going again real soon. Next time I'm going to take my nieces.

Home Sweet Home

I'm am back home and loving it. I'm loving my bed and seeing my hubby. I miss my friends even more now though. Spending a few hours with lifelong friends is just not enough. There was lots laughing and giggling. Seeing them makes me really miss VA.
Saturday I got to visit Bekah and Tonya. Bekah and I went and ate Mexican food and just talked and talked and talked. Then Tonya came over and there was more talking. I pretty sure Tony was glad he wasn't there for that.
Sunday before heading home I went to a cook out with my other friends. I grew up with a bunch of wonderful guys. I've been friends with them since I was 3 and 4 years old. We all sat around drinking sodas and eating chips. The best part was our kids were getting along so well. Angela and I are already planning their weddings. Gigi and Zach are both 6 and they were playing with transformers and watching cartoon together. Gigi was even laid her head on his shoulder watching TV. She talked a lot about him since she's been home. Now Lexi and Josh they were cute as a button. She gave him Chocolate Chips cookies and had a very deep conversation about cookies. It was so precious. Josh want to come to Ohio to visit Lexi. Poor Tony he's not handling the future nuptials very well.

The girls got to spend some quality time with their grandparents this weekend. We got at their resort around 9am and the girls were fishing at 10 am. Gigi kept telling us she was born to fish, she caught 5 fish and a turtle. Lexi caught a few fish and a turtle. All turtles are now named "Urtle the Turtle"

After fishing Gigi, Papa and I went to explore the local battlefield while Lexi napped with Nana. We saw where Stonewall Jackson was shot and different sights around Chancellorsville, VA. Gigi learned different things about the Civil War and more importantly had fun running around the different sights.

Now that I'm home hopefully I will get scrappy and start making LO of our weekend in VA. I only took like 105 pictures over 3 days.
